Struggling to access or afford food? A food bank or local food club may be able to assist you:

Food bank provisions are for people in a crisis situation with no other means of accessing or affording food and supplies. Food banks require referrals to gain access to their provisions.

Food clubs are a provision that usually accept a small fee for their services. Food clubs provide food at a heavily discounted rate and often run on a membership basis. Additional services are available via a number of food clubs.



Food Banks:

Morecambe Bay Food Bank

Food parcel home delivery, Monday-Friday.

To acquire a referral you may speak to a Customer Service Advisor at Lancaster City Council's Community Hub on 01524 582000 or alternatively, contact the Citizens Advice Bureau on 01524 400404 for a referral.

Home deliveries for vulnerable individuals and families.

Referrals to access service can be acquired from Citizens Advice, The Marsh Community Centre, Global Link, Lancaster District Homeless Action, Inspire, the Probation Service, and Social Services. Will accept referrals from other organisations or professionals that are assisting your situation.

Offer additional services regarding financial advice, mentoring, homelessness support. Offer phone and computer facilities. Can also assist with obtaining white goods, furniture, decorating supplies and debt relief orders.

Offer Narcotics Anonymous 19:00 onwards on Mondays.

West End Impact run advice and guidance sessions on housing, benefits, budgeting, and wellbeing. They have trained (NVQ 4 diploma) advice and guidance officers who help clients make appointments, make phone calls, get information, fill in forms, do job and property searches and refer to any other agencies or help they need to gain access to. Drop-in on Tuesday 10:00-13:00, Thursday 10:00-11:30.

As part of "Well-Being Wednesdays", West End Impact offer Living Life to The Full, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) courses for people suffering from depression, anxiety, and low mood. Therapeutic drumming and art sessions also on Wednesdays. 10:00-13:30.

Red Rose Recovery - Tea and Talk - Friday 10:00-12:00. Volunteer group that support individuals and families from vulnerable groups, helping improve wellbeing and reduce dependency on substances.

Extra services include facilitating AQA qualifications for creative subjects and help long-term unemployed people to develop and sell their products in their ReStore shop located at 71 Yorkshire Street, LA3 1QE. At their ReStoration shop located at 42 Yorkshire Street, LA3 1QE, skills regarding restoring, upcycling and refinishing are taught, and restored products are sold. Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00.


Stanleys Community Centre: 79 Stanley Road, Morecambe, LA3 1UT
