Consultation has concluded

Thank you all for taking time to respond to the Taxi Fare survey review. We have had an excellent response to the consultation so far, but if you haven’t already responded there is still time to share your views here.

Don’t miss out, your views matter.

Follow up questions from the responses received so far.

We asked for your preferred choice of three options to set a new tariff table for 2022/23, and although the consultation hasn’t closed, the indication from you is the preferred Tariff table is Option 2 (proposed by a Hackney driver and backed by several other drivers).

Before we close the consultation we have one further option to share with you and this is based on applying an inflationary increase from the 2014 Tariff following the policy introduced in 2014, using the Retail Price Index (RPI) to increase the Tariff each year. Because the policy was introduced in 2014, we refer to this Tariff as the “Baseline Tariff”

We have calculated the percentage change in the index from November 2014 to November 2021 and applied the increase across the full tariff table. This is now shown as Option 4

The Option 2 Tariff is shown below alongside the new Option 4, and to help further we have also included the fare table over 1 to 20 miles and the resulting fare.

Which option do you prefer?

When you have considered the tables below showing the 2 options, please follow the link below for a very short survey so we are clear on the preferred new Tariff table from April 2022. This would become the new baseline Tariff table for future years and would be reviewed based on the final outcome of this survey.
