Shopfronts and Advertisement Supplementary Planning Document (Regulation 12) Consultation

Public Participation - We are now consulting for a 6 week period from Monday 2 June 2025 to 12noon on Monday 14 July 2025.

The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, (Regulation 12)

This Shopfront Supplementary & Advertisement Planning Document (SPD) supplements policy guidance provided in the Development Management DPD (adopted January 2025) in relation to shopfronts and advertisements. The purpose of the SPD is to provide design guidance on the installation of new shopfronts and advertisements within the district particularly in sensitive locations (for example within conservation areas).

Please note: We are asking for comments on the detail of the draft SPD. We will address comments by making amendments to the SPD where necessary or where we do not make changes, we will explain the reasoning within a consultation statement at the next consultation stage.

Responding to the consultation

If you would like to respond to this consultation, there are a number of ways to make comment:
