Consultation has closed

On Thursday 21st October 2021, residents from Mallowdale Avenue and surrounding areas got involved with the consultation day at St Patricks Primary School, regarding how the green space between Roeburndale and Mallowdale Avenue should be used in the future. This was the second time this consultation day was scheduled, after the first day (Saturday 2nd October 2020) was unfortunately cut short due to the adverse weather conditions.

The general consensus over the two consultation days were that the space should be for mixed use. Ideas for the green space included green spaces for kids, picnic benches and also the green space being fenced off. Their was an overwhelming majority of people wanting the area to remain a green space, but with the use of the area based on children and families.

Over the two consultation days, thirty adults and eight young people took part in the consultation. The consultation results have now been noted and updates will be given in due course.
