Public Participation - We are now consulting for a six week period from Monday 13 June to Monday 25 July 2022
Lancaster City Council are in the early stages of preparing an Area Action Plan for South Lancaster, including the creation of a new garden village. Further details on the process of preparing the Area Action Plan can be found on the council's website.
One of the key tasks of the Area Action Plan will be the process in which land is identified for either development or non-development purposes, for instance the allocation of land for housing or for green space. In order to achieve this, the council are consulting on a set of methodology papers which identify how the council seek to assess land in the South Lancaster area – to assess both potential for development or opportunities to create blue / green infrastructure.
