Scotforth East: Bay Area Recycling

Join in! The Bay Area Recycling group are a small group of local residents in Lancaster, Morecambe & wider Bay Area who volunteer to be drop-off points for non-kerbside recycling items. We process the items that you drop off with us and send them to Terracycle. For each eligible (by kg) parcel we send, we are awarded points. These points are then converted into funds for our chosen local charities. Protect green areas of land around the edge of Lancaster and Morecambe from urban sprawl. These green areas help stop urbanising our towns.

Areas where people can go for relaxation and for their mindfulness should not be miles away, they are needed where you live.

Scotforth East: Participate in the Plastic Bottle Top Project!

The Plastic Bottle Top project, administered by Small Green Consultancy and the Ethical Small Traders Association. This project works with Precious Plastic Lancaster who clean the bottle tops & create new products. Today I received 3,533 bottle tops! Now washed & sorted into colours and ready for processing. They COULD go to kerbside recycling, but then what? Instead they go to a local Lancaster SME to recycle & process into something new - to go back into our local economy as lovely items sold in independent stores in Lancaster.
