What can we do together to support each other through the cost of living crisis?
‘Our Wellbeing District’: A series of Community Conversations, hosted by Lancaster City Council & partners in the health and voluntary/community sectors, to support wellbeing and community building in our district.
As the prices of everyday essentials continue to rise, Lancaster City Council and its partners are urging local residents to join a community conversation they will be hosting about the cost of living crisis. This will enable us to gather valuable feedback from local residents on how to best support our communities.
Your input is important to us.

Working from the office / working from public buildings when working from home.
Rather than working from my home, I am working from public buildings such as the library and the university to save costs on my own heating and energy bills.

Accessible 'Pick Up' Points for basic essentials
Set up collection points for residents to access basic necessities e.g. toiletries and layers, these could be located at libraries, foodbanks etc. This could be facilitated by an online search engine, allowing people to add donations and identify where resources are.
