Community Connectors 2023
In 2023, the Community Connector team facilitated, or were integral to, more than 70 community events across the Lancaster District.
Examples of these community events include:
A street party for the coronation of King Charles
A celebration of Ukrainian cuisine and culture to mark the UK hosting Eurovision
2 afternoons of community cultural events for international students on a summer school
4 community days aimed at 12 to 19-year-olds.
All the large community events sourced external funding and the Community Connector team supported communities to access resources from within the council or elsewhere.
Examples of funds that the Community Connector team supported applications of include:

The Local Integration Fund
The Lancaster Community Fund
The Community Connector team also assisted with applications for community funds for capital projects and/or revenue.

The National Lottery Community Fund
UK Shared Prosperity Fund
Walney Extension Community Fund
