Autism Friendly Screenings at the CinemaReel Cinema- Morecambe
  • You can take ear defenders, sound is turned down, lights left on low, no expectation that your child will sit still the entire time, supportive staff, other families who get it will be ok if your child can’t sit still. Every other Saturday at Reel Cinema in Morecambe for newer films or last Sunday of the month at Vue in Lancaster for older films. Details shared on NLDG page when details are posted.

Disability Friendly SessionsJump Rush- Morecambe
  • Thursdays 4.00-5.00 £6.00 per jumper (carer jumps for free) music turned down, fewer people booked in. During these sessions we bring down our level of sensory and auditory stimulation with appropriate sound and lighting, and also have a “quiet room” where people can go if they need the space to rebalance and process. We also have a wheelchair lift up to the trampoline area though it is not permitted to take wheelchairs onto the trampolines sorry.
  • We welcome both children (from aged 2) to adults to this session. To view the latest timetable for disabled friendly activities at our trampoline park, view our timetable page. A parent or carer is admitted free of charge but they must be booked in at the same time as booking for the jumper. Carers must not leave the individual to bounce unattended. You MUST arrive 20 minutes before your jump time to allow time to get through check in and safety briefing. www.jump-rush.com

Parent peer support via CHATS groupMore Music- Morecambe
Virtual groups (teams/zoom)
  • (Carers. Help. Advisory. Training. Support) is a support group for parents / carers who have children or young people experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. We run a face to face session at More Music in Morecambe and virtual group via teams / zoom. The group was set up by parents in partnership with CAMHS for parents to get involved in helping develop children and young people’s mental health and be aware of services available. There is CAMHS worker on the virtual sessions to advise and guide parents. Email for more details and CHATS Facebook group for parent peer support.

SEND EASY Youth GroupMorecambe Library
  • The group will run from 6:15 to 8:30pm on Monday evenings at Morecambe Library. Activities will include a range of arts and crafts, games, consoles, pool and table tennis and of course food. The group is open to young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged 12+. Referrals only. Families cannot just turn up, sessions must be booked in first.

Singing Group More MusicMorecambe- More Music
  • Find your voice at our informal singing session for 11-18 year olds. In this group, with an emphasis on supporting positive mental health through singing, you can sing out stress, sing out strong or simply start by singing something small. No experience required – this is a safe group for anyone with social anxieties, maybe looking for ways to manage your different moods and meet new friends. As this is a Singing For Health project, participants are referred to the session via their health service. Please email if you would like to enquire about joining the group.
